April 2018 Member Spotlight - Alissa Kantrow
ALISSA KANTROW is a fourteen-year veteran of the film and television industry in Louisiana. Alissa is an award winning producer, she won an Oscar as producer of the 2011 Short Film The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore, Alissa M. Kantrow After studying film at the College of Santa Fe and business at the University of New Orleans, Kantrow got her start in the production office of the German television series in New Orleans entitled The Waterfront and the television series, The Big Easy. Since that time, Kantrow has worked as a production coordinator, production manager and producer on a myriad of television series, commercials and feature films. Her experience ranges from low budget features to studio blockbusters in both physical production and production services, as well as having worked as the executive in charge of production for a New Orleans-based production services company.

Alissa's resume includes work on Monster's Ball, Going to California, O Brother, Where Art Thou, and A Love Song for Bobby Long. With hands-on experience on more than 30 projects, Alissa brings a true understanding of on-set requirements, budgets, preproduction and development. Most recently she worked as the production manager on the Frank Darabont Film Stephen King's The Mist and as line producer/production manager on the Jonathon Liebesman film The Killing Room.
Kantrow is a member of the Directors Guild of America and the Producers Guild of America. She is married to another film industry veteran, Ted Kantrow, whose motion picture catering company has been in Louisiana for over 20 years.
Jency Griffin Hogan is originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, acted in Los Angeles for 8 years before returning to once again be a vital part of Louisiana's film community. She loves acting and creating her own content. She has a passion for period drama. She also produced films such as Madeline's Oil, With My Soul, Painted Parakeets, and The Verses. She has recently directed a film called Last Light.
